RHOSLC’s Angie Katsanevas splits with husband Shawn after shock rumors

Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Angie Katsanevas, 52, and her husband Shawn Trujillo, 53, have allegedly separated after 27 years of marriage.

Page Six broke the news on Monday, claiming that multiple sources had confirmed that the couple are ‘no longer together romantically’.

Meanwhile, The Sun is claiming that the pair ‘called it quits earlier this year’, but have ‘been trying to maintain a happier public image for both their business and the show’.

It’s unclear if the demise of their marriage will play out on the upcoming seventh season of RHOSLC, which was filmed from February to May. 

They share one child, a 15-year-old daughter named Elektra, and own a successful chain of hair salons together.

Daily Mail has contacted Katsanevas for comment.

Shocking rumors of infidelity were previously featured as a storyline on the hit Bravo series and have also been spread by fans on social media, although a source insisted to The Sun that ‘there is no merit to any affair’ when it comes to the end of their marriage. 

TMZ has also shut down baseless claims that infidelity ended the marriage, saying any rumors of an affair are ‘not true’.

In season four, a castmate insinuated that Trujillo had been unfaithful by ‘hooking up’ with men behind Katsanevas’ back.

Addressing the rumors on an episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen at the time, Trujillo said, ‘For me, it’s not a gay-straight thing; it’s an infidelity thing.’ 

Katsanevas added, ‘There have never been infidelity rumors in my marriage existing in Salt Lake City or anywhere.’

The reality star and her husband are both hairstylists, which Katsanevas says led to whispers around Trujillo’s Sєxuality.

‘That’s been a thing for you that you’ve had to listen to for 30 years,’ Katsanevas said to Trujillo during a 2023 episode of the show.

‘You know, you’re a hairdresser, so you’re automatically gay,’ she added.

‘Don’t let this bother you, because I stood up for my family and I stood up for our marriage and for our family unit,’ she continued, before turning her ire towards castmate Meredith Marks for repeating the rumors.

‘She’s a miserable b***h. Don’t let her get to you,’ Katsanevas snapped.

The Real Housewives star hasn’t posted with Trujillo on Instagram since June 2025, when they took their daughter Elektra to an equestrian event. 

A few days before that, Katsanevas shared a post celebrating her 26th wedding anniversary with Trujillo.

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is set to return to screens in September.

In addition to Katsanevas, the season seven cast will include Meredith Marks, Whitney Rose, Heather Gay, Lisa Barlow, Bronwyn Newport, Britani Bateman, and Mary Cosby.

The new season is expected to be an emotional one, as it will also deal with the aftermath of Cosby losing her 23-year-old son Robert.
