Final Farewell: Community Gathers for an Emotional Tribute to Two Sisters and a 2-Year-Old Lost in Tragedy

JACKSON, Mississippi — Family members, friends, and community supporters gathered for an emotional homegoing service and balloon release to celebrate the lives of Erica Weathersby, 30, her sister Keyana Weathersby, 25, and Keyana’s 2-year-old son, Camari Givens, whose lives were l0st in a triple homicide that deeply impacted the Jackson community.

The memorial brought together hundreds of mourners who filled the service with prayers, music, flowers, and heartfelt tributes.

Following the ceremony, loved ones released balloons into the sky in memory of Erica Weathersby, Keyana Weathersby, and Camari Givens, remembering them for the love they shared with their family and community.

Relatives described the two sisters as caring, hardworking women who devoted themselves to their family, while Camari Givens was remembered as a joyful little boy who brought happiness to everyone around him.

Friends and community members offered prayers and words of comfort, pledging to continue supporting the family through the difficult days ahead.

The investigation remains active. Authorities have announced charges against Cornelius Carter, Jordan Carter, and Mikayla Young, while a fourth suspect has also been taken into custody in connection with the case.

Prosecutors continue moving forward as investigators review additional evidence.
